About Dre

DeAndre (Dre) Hemby is a professional touring drummer known for his powerful groove, versatility, and dynamic live performances as the drummer for Teddy Swims. Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Hemby began playing drums at just three years old before relocating to Atlanta in 2013 to pursue music full time. Since joining Teddy Swims' band in 2022, he has performed on sold-out international tours and helped bring the band's energetic live show to audiences around the world. Before touring with Teddy Swims, Hemby built an impressive résumé performing with artists including Musiq Soulchild, Donnie McClurkin, Jacquees, Case, and Lil Duval, earning a reputation as one of today's most versatile touring drummers. Known for his passion, precision, and deep musicality, Dre continues to inspire musicians through his commitment to excellence both on stage and in the studio.
